Grillafella

I have to make cards for my FIL, dad and stepdad and fortunately they will never see each other's cards, YAY, so I can make them all the same! I colored the first guy on the left about a week ago learning from Alex Maldonado's site then did these 2 other guys yesterday. If you haven't seen her stuff, it's a must see.

I added some white glitter over the dirt to make it look like sand. The first time I saw that was on a card Sheri Danielson sent to me a few months ago. What a great idea!! Thanks!

I also embossed the image as I still find I can't find the right combo of ink and paper that doesn't smudge while I am blending my Copics. I tried 110lb paper as I saw suggested somewhere but that didn't work. Obviously the wrong paper but I'll keep trying.

Last sistah bella package from Laurel

Well, our bella sistah 3 month session is sadly over. BUT LOOK WHAT I GOT!! She sent another CTMH paper package, which I love! Embellishments and I really like the E stickers. I've never had any so those will be fun to play with. She sent flower embellishments, clear buttons and ribbon. She even included an Idea Book from CTMH. I didn't even have the package open for 1/2 hr and I was already on the couch flipping through it.

And here is the cutest card she sent with it. Jammybella which she colored with her Copics and the bear is flocked with brown. It's such a great card! Thanks for everything Laurel! You rock!!

I love this card! She is so sassy with all her bling! I used the sketch from May's Postabella site. I even stitched the flower up a bit and did some piercing to it. I used my Cuttlebug embossing folders and colored with my Copics. I am sure I need more soon. LOL!!

Ryan's birthday

It's my stepson's birthday June 7th and he's turning 11 but I find boys cards are sooooo difficult!! It took me a few days to finally come up with this one. I'm really happy about how it turned out tho!! Yay!!

This card came from my bella sistah Laurel. Her favorite colors are pink and chocolate brown. I think that's contagious!! LOL!!

I just love these 2. Just sittin', relaxin', catchin' up on gossip. This was my loud color day. You don't have to do too much when you have busy paper like that. I used my copics for coloring again but it's still lots of practice.

Oh and .........

I did want to mention also, that I had previously gotten goodies from Laurel a few weeks ago too. I wanted to post a pic but I can't get it off the internal memory of the camera. My cord doesn't work anymore. PMO. She sent a whole crapload of embellishments, another fantastik Laurel card, some chipboard swirls from CTMH and distressing cubes from CTMH. Love them!! Never tried distressing inks before. COOL!

What a great bella sistah and great first experience of being one myself. Our 3 month stint is almost over and it's people like her, who make this kind of thing work. At least I know for next time that it can be a lot of fun. I would also like to thank Tangi, the Bellaholics organizer of bella sistahs. What a big job and perfect match up! Thanks!

More Goodies!!

Thank you Laurel!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I got some more goodies in the mail on Friday and have already used some of them!! I just love the ric-rack ribbon! I got some more stamped images (they are so cute!), charms and a package of paper from CTMH. Love coordinating papers!! I will be able to use some of that for my scrapbooking. And take a look at her card. Talent, talent, talent! Sometimes when I'm stuck I visit her blog to help me get inspiration and ..... unstuck. Eeeeeeee heeeeee heeeeee!! Yippeeee! Thanks so much!!

This is my May Postabella to hit the post box tomorrow! The new colors are so loud they're just yelling at me to do something different. I kinda felt like this card was outside my box or maybe the colors. I have never put those colors together but I loved it! By the way, what does Cool Beans mean??? I figured it was some kind of new salutation but......

These are two cards I did for the Postabella swap, who just happened to be for my real sister, Simone and for my bella sistah, Laurel. They were full of color and cute! I just love that stamp! Used my beloved Copics once again. :) Sorry Laurel!! LOL! ... ok, not really you'll LUV them!!!

Classic Pickups - SU

It's my stepdad's 60th next weekend and my sister already made his card. She set the bar quite high so I figured I should put on my best foot forward and just go for it! The challenge was on!! I love the way this card turned out but it took me 3 hours!!!! I cut the bumper and top grill out with my exacto knife and 3d'ed it. I put clear dimensional glue on the front window, headlights and middle grill after coloring with my Copics.

Luckily I have father's day coming up and 2 more people to make this card for. Yay!! A proforma and none of them will ever know any different!! hee hee
