My first halloween card of the year! I used this sketch but it's too small to read and now I can't give credit to the sketch maker. Sorry!! I go around to all the blogs I visit and download the sketch for later. Only problem is you can't take notes on where you got it from. Hopefully some of you will recognize it. I used my new square scallop nestabilities and cut felt for the black square. It's so cool. Once again IRL it looks way better. Hmmf. I put Stickles in the center of the flower and orange dot Stickles all the way around each white frame. I also used Stickles on the bottom of the witch's dress. Remember The Wizard of Oz? Ya, green witch. Still creeps me out. Too funny!

Javablu Award
So I thought I would beat Laurel and Simone to sending this award out first because I had seen it floating around out there about a day before they each sent it. DARNIT!!! They scooped me! Thanks to both of you for this award!!! :)
1. The winner can put the logo on their blog.
2. Link the person you received your award from.
3. Nominate at least 5 other blogs.
4. Before listing the nominees give a brief reason why you chose them.
5. Put links of those blogs on yours.
6. Leave a message on the blogs you have nominated.
Even though they have this award already I would like to send it back to them.
Laurel your blog is such an inspiration to me. I go to it every time I'm stuck and always find something to help finish off my card or scrap pages.
Simone your blog is so much fun and I love seeing how your cards are advancing in your skill level. Although, like you have the knack for, I would love to be able to create a simple yet classy card like you can and just leave it like that.
Bere I just love all your cards and I love the other interesting posts you make as well.
Catherine the cards you create from your sketches are just amazing. This site is also a place I visit when I have a card making block. Thanks!
Deb your blog and cards are wonderful!!! I also like her straight forward down to earth attitude that comes across on her blog. You go girl!

Set 2 - Lance's 60th
I am so happy with the way these turned out. I used the Blue Ribbon paper package that Laurel sent to me from CTMH. I am really loving the coordinates. Makes it a lot easier having all the right colors at your fingertips. I did paper piercing, stitching, distressing, inked and embossed the frame that Lance is in. It looks very bright but IRL it matches. They look much better side by side.....
Joy!

Whipper Snapper
This little monkey is too cute! An image sent to me by Laurel (thanks!) by Whipper Snapper. I am getting good practice with my Copics! I love the bg paper. I went and bought it specifically for this card. Fortunately it was double sided so I could use both!!
Blog Award
Awhile back Laurel gave me this award. :) Check out her blog http://want2scrap.blogspot.com/ I was so excited but I had no idea who to forward it to as I didn't know who some of the recipients would be. So I decided to post it anyway and do my best. Thanks so much Laurel!!! The rules of this award are slightly different from the usual.....
1. Only 5 people are to be nominated.
2. 4 out of the 5 have to be dedicated followers of your blog
3. 1 has to be someone new or recently new to your blog and live in another part of the world.
4. You must link back to whoever gave you the award.
I nominate: Simone, Bere (she's not a recent subscriber but she's from another part of the world), Michelle and Deb and that's all I can come up with. I would send to Laurel but she's already sent to me!! LOL!! I love all your blogs. Thanks for being an inspiration!

1st Pic Evah!
Ok, normally I never post pictures of anything but cards and scrapbooking but I just HAD to share this one. It's one of the best photos I have ever taken and I'm sure the first one I have never edited before uploading. I have NEVER seen a white bee before but here it is. Just hangin out in my mom's flower's. Cute!
Lance's 60th Birthday
We had such a great time at my stepdad's 60th bday back in May and I finally got to scrapbook a couple of pages. I have 2 more to work on then I'm doing my mom's birthday. These ones are fun! They, as well as all their friends, have a great sense of ha-ha. Better then most I think but I'm biased. hee hee
I wasn't really thrilled about how the title looks but other then that I was happy with the way it turned out. Thanks to Laurel for the CTMH papers - I luv them! I wish I had a 12 x 12 scanner but then I'd wish it was deep enough to fit embellishments for a perfect scan. No, I don't ask for too much. LOL!
Old Lady
Me and my sister were at my mom's a few weekends ago when we went on a covert mission to find her stash of really great images. My mom has an unreal collection!! So, off we went to stamping anything we could get our hands on while she cut the paper for us. Good system hey? LOL!! I could have spent all night doing that. This was one of the first images I got a chance to play with. Too funny!!

Mimi & Butch
My friend Sheri Danielson sent me this image so I just had to try it. This image was used for the monthly Bellaholics front page and I just thought that card was so cute I'd have to give this a try. Turned out not too bad! They're really cute! Thanks Sheri!

Whipper Snapper Buddies
Thanks to Laurel for this image, it is so cute! It was a great way for me to see how far I've come with my Copic technique. I sooo love the vibrancy of these colors. I tried to keep this card simple so the main feature was the image. Ok, that's not easy - me?!! Keep it simple?!! Holi cow!!! Can you say "Challenge??" But I did it!!
Oh!! How do you like my pumpkin colors?!!! hee hee
Sunflower House Mouse
So I thought I would "case" my friend's card but it didn't quite turn out as good as hers did. However, it's still a good card! Check out Laurel's card and if only I had a sewing machine!!! LOL!!!
I colored with my very lovely Copics, which BTW, I am still in LUV with!!! :)

Cupcake Mouse - Whipper Snapper
My friend Laurel sent me one and only one image (at the time anyway- now I have 6 - thank you!!!) of this and since I really wanted to use it (cuz OMG I have seen some crafty, cute, cute cards made with it) I had to be very very careful!! I combined a lot of ideas from Laurel's cards to make this one.
I used Copics to color and Stickles on the cupcake sprinkles. Stickles for sprinkles - say that even 3 times fast! I sat it in my office at work for a week cuz I just loved how it turned out! ha ha!! I 3d'ed the whole image on the creme colored paper and yes even the whiskers were cut out. Too bad you couldn't see it more. I'd take another pic but I gave it to my mom for her bday!! hee hee
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!
Birthday Card
Is this just the cutest card? My mom's friend made it for my mom's birthday. She 3'd-ed the shoes and the bee's nose. There's sparkles on the wings, hat and Liquid Applique (or something similar) on the cake. We spent the weekend out at their cabin and had a little bday party for mom. It was a blast! Thanks Ralfie!!
