Polkadoodles Hocus Pocus

Have you checked out the new stamp and die sets from the Scary Boo collection at Polkadoodles?  Today I have a little Halloween shaker card using the cute new stamp set "Hocus Pocus"!  👻

There really isn't much to this card as I just wanted to do something simpler to make the spooky mansion stand out so I focused that on top of a shaker card.

I coloured this image using my copics and it's just so amazing just by itself that you don't really need anything else.  I added some bats for the sky scene and that fabulous sentiment that comes in the same set.

The background paper is from the new Halloween "Batty Boo" paper pack available at your local retailers.  Are you like me who hoards her Halloween papers?  LOL!!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

GO BATTY - Fang-tastic

Today I am sharing a Halloween shaker slimline card using images from the new GO BATTY collection!!  👻👻🎃

I've used the stamp and die collection called "Fang-tastic".  HA HA HA even the name is CUTE!!  I normally colour my images first and then create but this time I built the card first.  I didn't know which ones or how many I would use so this way I coloured less.  Work smarter not harder!  ha ha ha!!

I coloured my background shaker layer using Wilted Violet distress oxide and then covered the Creepy Foliage Halloween stencil with black soot ink.  Here is a close up to see that background in the shaker piece.

I popped my shaker layer overtop some super cute papers from the new Spooky Special paper pad.  Just ADORABLE!!

I popped on a couple of gooley eyes to the ghost for fun.

I love creating Halloween cards because of the non-traditional colours.  Just sooo much fun to escape the regular colours for everyday cards.

Krista Smith Stamps "Birthday Girl"

Do you remember Saturated Canary?  The artist was Krista Smith and although that company doesn't exist anymore, as an artist, she is still creating and selling and I've always loved colouring up her images.  I found time to colour again!  YAY ME!  🤣🤣🤣

It's very rare that I colour something twice, not because I don't like it but because I don't normally have time.  Being a part of design teams for so long has me pushing along with all their new images, which I love!!  However, these were commissioned cards and this is what she chose!

This image is called "Birthday Girl" and you can find her here on Krista Smith Stamps Etsy Shop.

I've coloured her up using my copics and in this case the customer asked for a blonde with blue eyes and her favourite colour is lime green.  This was a challenge but I like how it turned out.  😀. Both are shaker cards as well.  Just some fun interaction for the recipient.

And this one was for a recipient with brown hair, blue eyes and favourite colour being purple and turquoise.  I love this combo!
And this is the first time I have ever duplicated a card as close as this but the customer was short on time.  Thankfully the girls live in different cities so they'll never see each other's cards.  LOL!  And the customer was happy!!  That's what counts!  😀💕

Thanks for stopping by I hope you liked my creations for today!!

GNOME-AZING CHRISTMAS - Let It Snow

It's SNOWING GLITTER!  Well at least on my winter mini slimline scene anyway.  🤣  ❄️⛄️ I back sharing another card by the new:

GNOME-AZING CHRISTMAS!!

I first set out creating my background of glitter snowflakes using Tumbled Glass and Kitsch Flamingo distress oxide.  I then laid down my PD "Snowballs" stencil and covered with some iridescent glitter gel.

I then added some snow banks and holographic film cardstock for the ice to finish my landscape scene.  I've coloured up some images from the recently released "Let It Snow" polymer stamp set using my Copics.  For a little added texture I used pencil crayons on the snowman's hat ...

... and the gnome's cuffs, where you can see some lines on the both of them.

I did make a mistake while creating the scarf but I had quite a bit of my image coloured so I didn't want to start over.  I had first coloured the scarf a pink combo and didn't like how it turned out so I tried to cover it with a purple combo.  Welllllll.... there was something on the paper that wasn't allowing the Copic ink to soak in so it was looking pretty rough.  I stamped off the image again and discovered I had stamped it off on to paper meant for pencils.  Well that's ok then!!  I decided to use a pencil combo instead!!  One tip about fussy cutting your "extra piece" is to colour the white edges where you cut, using a black marker so you can't tell that it's been cut.  Works like a charm!!  😀

After all images were coloured I popped them onto the card using some foam dots and added the sentiment, which is also in the "Let it Snow" set.

And just like that another card done for Christmas!!  I am loving that companies are now doing releases in August!  It's sooo helpful especially for people who hate doing the same card over.  That's me.  Drives me nuts!  LOL!  When do you start working on yours?  🎄🎁

Thanks for stopping by!

NEW POLKADOODLES CHRISTMAS RELEASE

Wooooooo NEW RELEASE FROM POLKADOODLES!!

GNOME-AZING CHRISTMAS

AND this stamp set is super awesome because they now come with dies!  THAT'S RIGHT!!

They are rather easy to make but you need a small scene and these smaller sets are perfect for just this!  I've used the new Let's Get Blitzen' set and coloured up the gnome, reindeer and lots of trees for the scenery.  I added some glitter to all the ornaments on the trees:

I used one sheet from the new Happy Christmas paper pack for my snowflake background.  And how cute is that Woodland Door Die?!!  I coloured in some of the lines on the outside of the door to show more texture.  I added another piece behind the door and coloured it up using my Copic markers to make it look like their's light inside.  If you open the door you'll see a wooden panel wall.  Well...at least that's what I decided it was.  LOL!

I added some snow to the vines and leaves on the left using my Molotow marker.

I thought a cute idea was to have the reindeer (or deer) peeking out from behind all the tree's playing hide and seek with her.  LOL!

Have you gotten into making any version of slimline cards yet?  Some people thing they are a passing phase.  Ummm...I don't think so, do you?
